Ó Dochartaigh Reunion Jul 2020

Announcement: Ó Dochartaigh clan to gather in summer 2020

Dia duit from your Ó Dochartaigh clan kinsmen who live in Derry and Inishowen. Cead Mile Failte!

Ó Dochartaighs and their kin from around the world will meet July 23 through 28, 2020 in Ireland. The Ó Dochartaigh reunion web site will be updated as event details are confirmed.

No matter the spelling of your Ó Dochartaigh name, Doherty, Dougherty, Daugherty, Darity, Doerty, Ó Doherty, Dockarty, and many, many more, all are welcome. Anyone with a connection to the clan is encouraged to join us.

Since 1985, we have held eight World-wide reunions. It is great to hear all the different accents greeting each other as cousins. At the registration table, when asked for their name, attendees give the usual response of their last name. The girls at the desk would then say, “and……, your first name…., or perhaps where are you from….., we need more than just your last name.” We have Jacks meeting Jacks, Bobs greeting Bobs. It is fun.

Spread the Word: Please forward this e-mail to everyone in your family circle.  We want everyone to know about the reunion. Or send us their name and email address and we will put them on the list to receive information. We also have a FaceBook group – Ó Dochartaigh Reunion.  Be sure to join the group and connect with our community.

And so in the summer of 2020 we’ll gather again.  If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us at odochartaighreunion@comcast.net.

Tickets: Our web site www.odochartaighreunion.com will be available for event registration and tickets in plenty of time for the 2020 reunion in Ireland.

If you are attending the reunion with other family members, please be careful that ticket orders are not duplicated.  We recommend that groups have one representative taking care of the ticket ordering.  You will be able to pay for your event tickets through our online PayPal account.

As the clan gathers in July 2020, the Ó Dochartaigh people will once again join in fellowship on the old green sod.  We look forward to seeing each of you, and promise a wonderful, memorable adventure in the land of our ancestors.

Go n-éirí an bóthar leat,
Eva Doherty Gremmert, Ó Dochartaigh Clan Worldwide Reunion Coordinator
